Day One
Thursday 28th Dec : Addis Ababa – Arbaminch (ET171 07:40 – 08:45)
Checking in for your flight at 06:40am and arriving Arbaminch at 08:45am, you will be picked up at the airport and start your drive to Dorze Haizo village located 23kms North of Arbaminch. Enroute driving up in the Gughe Mountains, you will have a good view of Abaya Lake, one of the seven Rift Valley lakes in Ethiopia. Arriving at Dorze Haizo village, you will be able to visit their bamboo-made tukuls (external design and internal compartments), cotton weaving skills, ‘Kocho’ (their local staple food prepared out of false banana roots) preparation. This being a Thursday, you will also have the opportunity to visit their vibrant and bustling weekly market.
Returning back to Arbaminch shortly after midday, you will be checking in at the Tourist Hotel where you will also have lunch break. Through the rest of the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to relax and if interested also do swimming at either Haile Resorts or Paradise Lodge. End of the day, you will be spending overnight at Tourist Hotel (New Block).

Day Two
Friday 29th Dec : Arbaminch – Chamo Lake – City Tour – Arbaminch
Starting off at 8:30am, you will be heading to the shores of Chamo Lake, one of the seven Rift Valley lakes in Ethiopia. With a duration of two hours boat trip, you will be able to see the largest of Nile crocodiles, Hippos, Pelicans and a variety of birdlife like the famous African Fish Eagle. Depending on tributary flood levels, you may also be able to see what is locally misleadingly known as ‘Crocodile Market’, a laying ground for many of the Nile Crocodiles at one of the tributary inlet junctions. Returning back to Arbaminch at noon, you will be having lunch at one of the exclusive fish restaurants where you can taste one of their Nile Perch roasts fished out of Chamo Lake.
After brief rest at your hotel, late afternoon you will be able to have a guided tour of Sikela, the vibrant commercial section of the city with its various activities. End of the day, you will be spending overnight at Tourist Hotel (New Block).

Day Three
Saturday 30th Dec : Arbaminch – Addis Ababa (ET134 16:15 – 17:20)
Starting off at 9:30am, you will be visiting the primary forest near Arbaminch locally known as ‘Arba Minchoch’ and also the source of drinkable water supply for Arbaminch, after which the city’s name is also derived from. A 15 minutes’ walk in this primary forest and its streams has its relaxing effect to almost anyone that goes to visit.
With lunch break back in Arbaminch, you will be transferred to the airport at 3:00pm for check in for your flight to Addis Ababa, thereby ending your three days tour of Arbaminch and its surroundings.
